When? Where? Who? Why?
Unlike in many jobs and professions, the work that teachers provide is not only limited in the workplace. Actually, teachers work in their work environment, be it in their schools or universities, but they also bring their work home. They prepare the content and the material of the class and they correct the students ‘papers and homework at home. Because of this, the line that separates their professional sphere from their personal sphere is very blurry. In order to avoid having a big workload at home, our idea is to provide the teachers with an app that would enable them to correct the student’s homework and tests while going to work in the morning or while returning home at night. Thanks to an additional feature, teacher would also be able to prepare the content and the material of their classes through this app. With this app, teachers could orally correct the exams, and when finished the app would automatically upload the grades and the comments to the website. It could also automatically calculate the grade of students if the teacher selects that option, and present statistics about students: the mean, median, the lowest and highest grades.
The best part about this app is that teachers can use whatever their mean of transportation is: they can use the app whether they are on a car, on the subway, on the bus, while on a bicycle or even while walking !
For whom?
This application is specifically designed for teachers. Whatever the level or the subject, any teacher can use this application. This app can be used to grade and correct papers but also to prepare the content and the mateiral of the class or lecture.
What? How?
In this application we provide two overall services: correcting and grading papers, homeworks and tests and preparing the content of a class or lecture. On one hand, regarding correcting and grading papers, the teachers is able to scan the papers with his phone camera. Then the application is automatically able to read it and understand it thanks to Artificial Intelligence and wording. Once the papers are recorded, the teacher is able to correct them not only with his phone's keyboard but also orally. Indeed the app is able the read out loud the paper while the teacher is able to give oral instructions to the app ; for example "stop reading", "add comment", "grade this question", "read the next/previous question", "read question X", and so on. On the other hand the teacher is able to prepare his course materials thanks to the same process, for example "add a video to this course", "write the following", and so on. Once the teacher has finshed to prepare his course or to correct his papers they are automatically uploaded to the university website and available for the students. Indeed the application is a true oral task manager for teachers that will be able to use their time in transports to work on their lectures, papers, and so on.
